Nature

The garden is a haven for many species of birds and other wildlife

A blue tit family has colonised one of the bat boxes in the garden

There are also several robin families around

A wonderful peacock butterfly sunbathing and enjoying the flowers

Red admirals are probably the most common butterfly we see

Frogs have become common visitors to the garden since we built a small pond for them

Occasionally, we see toads. They feed on the many snails living here, and we are very grateful to them

There is a mouse nest up in the woodlands - the cat keeps them away from the house

Always pleasing to see a shrew - they are becoming endangered so it's good they like our garden

Pheasants tend to visit every day and check out what's on offer at the bird table
